About the Counselor
Ms. Hayes works with individual students and with groups to help them develop strategies for success in academics.
She also challenges students to become aware of their individual strengths, to develop methods for dealing with difficulties, to set goals, and to make choices and to consider consequences. She is able to provide information regarding progress toward graduation, credit retrieval opportunities, post-high school options, referral to community agencies for mental health, drug and alcohol counseling, etc.
The Center School has both a Counselor and a College & Career Specialist help students navigate their high school years and to assist them in preparation for college, trade school, service, or employment.
