Clubs are an intricate component of a student’s high school experience, and we are excited to help you expand your student life experience by engaging with you and supporting your extracurricular journey.

Club Descriptions
If you are unsure of which clubs and activities you should join, here’s a comprehensive list of clubs and organizations for you to get involved here in The Center School!
OEE (Outdoor Enviromental Education)
Become responsible global citizens by focusing on relevant environmental education issues and tackling practical projects that protect and restore the student’s local environment. Students participate in multiple activities for more sustainable living to inspire students to bring these changes to their own communities.
Anime Club
Watch all of your famous anime shows and movies, learn to speak some Japanese, perhaps attend some anime conventions as a group, and maybe even draw out some anime characters and scripts yourself!
Associated Student Body (ASB)
Work with Center School’s staff, administration, and students to ensure a high quality of student life. ASB coordinates a large number of school functions, activities, and programs eg. Field Day, Food Drive, & Spirit Week. In addition, joining ASB can count towards service-learning hours!
Juicy Discussions
Discuss random preselected and relevant topics that students would be interested in and eager to learn about. This might mean choosing a topic that is related to current events, or a topic that you don’t get the opportunity to learn much about at The Center School.
Model United Nation (MUN)
Engage in activities and learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. MUN involves and teaches participants researching, public speaking, debating, and writing skills.
Paranormal Chess Club
Chess is a complicated game that requires strategy, careful thinking, and overall practice. Learn new strategies to beat your opponent and practice playing against other students, giving you a fun challenge. You may even get to participate in chess competitions.
Racial Justice Alliance (RJA)
RJAs purpose is to educate and provide a safe place for students to meet, support each other, talk about issues related to racism and racial justice. By joining RJA you are giving teenagers, with similar mindsets, a voice in The Center School. RJA organizes awareness events and offers a series of educational workshops, panels, and celebrations. Finally, organizes a “Racial Equity Day” staff development day, which focuses on teaching school staff how to be better allies for students of color.
Sexuality & Gender Alliance (SAGA)
The mission of the Sexuality and Gender Alliance (SAGA) club at The Center School is to provide support for members of the LGBTQ+ community, promote acceptance and inclusivity for all individuals, TCS community, and beyond. SAGA is a safe space for people of all races, religions, gender and sexual identities, and abilities. We will listen to each other and facilitate active discussion to raise awareness of current social issues while maintaining diversity in thoughts and ideas.
Table Top Gaming
Table Top Gaming Club is one that is focused on all things gaming. Students play card games like Dungeons and Dragons, Magic the Gathering, Yugioh, and others. Also play board games like Sheriff of Nottingham, Splendor, and Shadows over Camelot.
The Nook
Students meet in small groups to discuss a specific topic about writing that they have all read or listened to. Through sharing their focus on literary critique thinking, they build a richer understanding than any one student could gain from.
Queer Book Club
Queer-facilitated discussion group dedicated to reading novels by queer authors that tackle a variety of interests and subject matters. Queer Book Club aims to bring all members of our community together in a safe, supportive and inclusive space to enjoy literature, conversation and most of all engage with each other.
Yearbook Club
Be a part of a creative team! Learn photography and digital pre-printing production to create a yearbook that will showcase student life and build Wolverine pride. Open to all grades! Yearbooks are a great way to capture Center School memories. Besides featuring all student and staff portraits, the yearbook has pages of pictures, stories, and quotes from school clubs, activities, and athletics. There are also lots of signature pages for friends to write on, so come join!
