Seattle Children’s Nurse Camp + Scrubs & ‘Scopes Camp

Seattle Children’s is committed to recruiting the best nurses, cultivating an inclusive workforce, and inspiring high school students from diverse communities to pursue a career in nursing. During their free, five-day Nurse Camp, students will gain insight into the world of pediatric nursing. They will have opportunities to observe as nurses provide patient care, participate in hands-on skills labs, hear from educational panels, and more! Seattle Children’s Nurse Camp will be held at the Seattle Children’s Hospital Campus July 14-18, 9am-3pm. Lunch will be provided. Students must be between the ages of 16 & 18 years old by the start of camp. Applications open on February 24, 2025, and are due by March 28, 2025. Have you ever had an X-ray? Picked up medication from a pharmacy? Had your blood pressure checked? If the answer is “yes,” then you’ve interacted with an allied health professional. Allied health describes a range of healthcare professionals who are not doctors or nurses. During Seattle Children’s free, five-day, Scrubs & ‘Scopes Camp, students will gain insight into the career fields of Medical Assistants, Pharmacists, Laboratory Scientists, Radiology Technologists and Pharmacy Technicians, and more in a pediatric setting. They will have opportunities to observe these professionals provide patient care, participate in hands-on skills labs, hear from educational panels, and more! Seattle Children’s Scrubs & ‘Scopes Camp will be held at the Seattle Children’s Hospital Campus August 11-15, 10am-3pm. Lunch will be provided. Students must be between the ages of 16 and 18 years old at the start of camp. Applications open on February 24, 2025, and are due by April 11, 2025. Pedalheads

Pedalheads is a learn-to-ride bicycle day camp for ages 2 – 12. Pedalheads is currently hiring Camp Counselors to help run their summer programs. The camp counselor positions are wonderful entry level jobs for youth to gain skills in relationship-building, teaching and leadership. Pedalheads is a fantastic opportunity for student who want to work outside, gain leadership experience, receive quality training and development, teach kids bike safety and how to ride, and earn 0.5 CTE credits! Pediatric Physical and Occupational Therapy Services DIR/Floortime Summer Camp

For the past 25 years, Pediatric Physical and Occupational Therapy Services have run a 4-week DIR®/Floortime Summer Camp for children who are neurodiverse. The camps are conducted at a school in the Edmonds School District, just north of Seattle. Pediatric Physical and Occupational Therapy Services is looking for students to work as “Floortime Players.” They provide 1-to-1 support for each child participating in our camp and this is the role of the “Floortime Player.” As noted above, this camp is for children who are neurodivergent, including children with autism, sensory processing differences and ADHD. Applicants must be at least 16 years old by the start of camp. It is a paid position and a great learning opportunity for students who are interested in working with children in the future. The focus of the camp is for children to have fun and engage in child-led activities, both indoors and outdoors. You will follow the child’s lead, their interests, and what they want to do as they interact with each other. Training meetings will take place one evening a week throughout June: 5:30pm-7:00pm, June 4, 11, 18, 25, and 30. This is a paid position. New Players start at $17.00/hr. SYEP Seattle

The Seattle Youth Employment Program (SYEP) is currently accepting applications for their Summer Internship Program. The Summer Internship Program is a 6-week program, giving youth and young adults in the Seattle area the opportunity to gain practical experience to build their resumes and to make potential connections that may advance their career and/or education. Interns will be paid at the City’s minimum wage of $20.76 and will be provided support in accessing public transportation and stable meal options during internship. Summer Internship program will start July 9, 2025, and end August 25, 2025. To be eligible, each applicant must be between the ages of 16 and 24 at the start of internship, live in Seattle or attend a Seattle Public School or Seattle College (Seattle Central, North Seattle, South Seattle), and live in a household with income at or below 80% Area Median Income. UW Botanic Gardens Arboretum Summer Camp

Applications for our Junior Naturalist program are now open! Junior Naturalists are teens volunteering with the Arboretum Summer Camp for a two-week session. The Arboretum Summer Camp looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about working with kids, playing outside, and gaining leadership skills. Students can earn up to 75 service hours, and will receive a letter of recommendation upon successful completion of the program. Applicants are accepted on a rolling basis, and the application will close when space is filled (usually late Spring). Students must be 15-18, able to commit to a full 2-week session, interested in working with kids, and willing to be outside all day.
